Morse, Alexander Porter (Confederate Civil War Letter)

Alexander Porter Morse (1842-1921) was an American at 19 years old left his studies at Princeton University to enlist with Company (I) the “Morgan Rangers,” 1st Louisiana Cavalry in 1861.  Autograph Letter Signed, 11/28/1861  at 9:00AM - 8 x 10 written, in blk ink on line woven fiber parchment from the C.S. Barracks, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Lovely organic age-toning seen with clear wording throughout document; A Folio page folded in half with writting on all four sides; plus, a four-fold crease with no tears or ink fading.  Overall, fine/very fine condition. 

Note:  This is a wounderful detailed letter of what is happing at the present time within his Company:  Letter is to "My dear Father..." he does mention in this wounderful letter the the "Morgan Rangers" and also, "Tell Nathan , that I will be in an engagment before him yet... our first fight,"
